The Braided Pastry

Another new favorite that is so simple, and the variations in my mind are endless! First attempt I followed a Proper Tasty video for a yummy desert pastry, but have also seen some cool vegetarian-loaf variations.

 

Ingredients:

Puff Pastry Frozen or un-thawed

Melted Butter

Chocolate Bar

Raspberry pastry filling (Found in the baking aisle)

 

 

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 Unfold the Pastry and lay chocolate bar and raspberry sauce (or any filling) in center.

Cut the Pastry as seen

Fold the ends first, then fold in each angles side alternating sides. When finished brush with butter (add almonds if desired) and put in oven for 25 minutes. Can sprinkle powdered sugar as well.

 

Variations:

Desert style with peaches and berries

Breakfast style with eggs, cheese, and sausage, or tomatoes and spinach

Indian style with potatoes onions and Indian spices
